History

Since 1993, Taggart Global has amassed an impressive portfolio of international projects and has grown from 15 U.S. employees to one of the largest EPCM companies in the world. The company continues to expand its services and operations to meet the growing global demand for its proven solutions.

TAGGART’s Global Expansion
1993 Founding of Sedgman USA, LLC, predecessor to Taggart Global USA, LLC, as joint venture partner with individual owners of Sedgman Ltd (ASX : SDM) aimed at upgrading and modernizing U.S. coal preparation plants
1996 Addition of turnkey capabilities through founding of construction subsidiary, originally known as Southern Cross Construction Co.
2002 Entry into China through formation of Taggart Global China, LLC
2005 Entry into Brazil through formation of Taggart Global do Brazil Projetos Ltda.
2005 Entry in Canada through formation of Taggart Global Canada
2006 Formation of Taggart Global Operations, LLC to operate coal preparation plants and handling facilities, including facilities funded and owned by Natural Resource Partners (NRP)
2006 Agreement with Natural Resource Partners (NRP) to seek joint U.S. business opportunities in which NRP and Taggart capitalize and own coal infrastructure projects built by Taggart
2007 Name change from Sedgman USA, LLC to Taggart Global USA, LLC to signify exit of individual owners of Sedgman Ltd. and entry of Quintana Energy Partners, L.P., a Houston-based private equity group
2007 Formation of Taggart Global Electric, LLC to facilitate acquisition of Charleston, WV-based Robertson P&E, Inc.
2008 Acquisition of a majority ownership in Jim Harrison Design Associates (Proprietary) Limited, an engineering firm based in Johannesburg, South Africa, which specializes in coal preparation and material handling projects
2008 Formation of Taggart Global Civil, LLC to self perform civil works on domestic projects
2009 Formation of Taggart Global Australia, Pty Ltd. to facilitate strategic alliance with Ausenco Ltd. (ASX : AAX), to undertake coal preparation and handling projects in Australia and the Pacific Rim
2009 Taggart constructs and commences operation of multiple Section 45 coal handling facilities located at various power generating stations
2010 Acquisition of a majority ownership in LSL Consulting (Pty) Ltd and Tekpro Projects (Pty) Ltd. Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, LSL/TEKPRO is a leading engineering company specializing in coal and mineral handling technologies
2010 Amalgamation of U.S.-based construction, electric and civil divisions into Taggart Global Site
