Pittsburgh, PA – June 2, 2008 –Taggart Global USA, LLC (Taggart), a global leader in the delivery of coal preparation plants and materials handling systems, announced today its joint venture with Ausenco Limited (ASX :AAX) to pursue coal preparation plant engineering opportunities worldwide, with the exception of North America and China, which will target a project pipeline in excess of US$10 billion.

The 50/50 Taggart-Ausenco Joint Venture, which will initially run for five years, brings together two of the global leaders in engineering project and construction management for the resources industry. With complementary infrastructure and expertise, the joint venture has been formed at a time that global resource companies are committing significant capital expenditure on many large scale coal project opportunities.

Ausenco CEO Zimi Meka said he was delighted to have formed a joint venture with Taggart, as part of Ausenco’s strategic diversification into the coal sector.

“The Taggart team are the leaders in their field and together with Ausenco Minerals provide an important platform of global experience, expertise and technology into the worldwide coal sector,” Mr Meka said. “Ausenco Minerals will work closely with Taggart as part of the joint venture to pursue and deliver major coal EPC and EPCM projects across the globe,” he said.

“Based on the combined expertise of Ausenco and Taggart, we are already talking to clients about significant projects in Sub-Sahara Africa, Vietnam, Mongolia and Indonesia. The global pool of committed and targeted project expenditure this joint venture will specifically target is between US$10 and US$15 billion over the next four to five years.”
