Taggart Global Completes Acquisition of Controlling Interest in LSL/TEKPRO
Acquisition extends the US-based engineering firm’s capabilities in Africa

PITTSBURGH, PA – May 14, 2010 – Taggart Global, LLC (Taggart), a global leader in the delivery of coal preparation plants and material handling systems, today announced that it has acquired a 51% controlling interest in LSL Consulting (Pty) Ltd and Tekpro Projects (Pty) Ltd (LSL/TEKPRO). Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, LSL/TEKPRO is a leading engineering company specializing in coal and mineral handling technologies. Together, Taggart and LSL/TEKPRO will pursue large-scale coal and mineral material handling projects throughout Africa.

The partnership of Taggart and LSL/TEKPRO brings together expert companies in the fields of coal and minerals. Taggart provides a full range of design, engineering, project management, construction and contract operation services to the international mining and power generation sectors. LSL/TEKPRO delivers material handling solutions for a wide range of mineral producers and users, including those operating in coal, iron ore, mineral sands, dolomite, coal ash, diamonds, slag, gold and other mineral commodities industries.
