Job Title: Lead Designer
Department/Group: Engineering
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Lead Designer for our Pittsburgh, PA Corporate Headquarters.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Interfaces with and support, as required, the different divisions in all project phases, making detailed technical presentations to customers, acting as internal consultants to peers in the Engineering Department.
  • May be assigned full technical responsibility for a contract, including the correctness and adherence to specification for all designs.
  • Participates in the Taggart Global LLC technology development effort, related to new technologies, R&D, etc, assimilating and maintaining expertise in the current technology.
  • Applies diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad area assignments and related design fields.
  • Designs equipment and systems that perform to specifications and meet applicable safety codes.
  • Supervises, coordinates and reviews the work of a small staff of engineers and designers.
  • Provides engineering support to customers, suppliers, field personnel and others in the Company, as directed by Supervisor.
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Design Engineering.
  • Must be proficient with Auto Cad or Inventor
  • Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer desired
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering, preferable Mechanical Engineering
  • Formal CAD training
  • Experience in the Coal Industry desired

Job Title: Site Safety Manager (Temporary)
Department/Group: Safety
Location: Hastings, NE
Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Temporary Site Safety Manager for a job in Hastings, Nebraska. The job will last approximately 3 months beginning May 5th.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Administer site safety programs, monitor compliance with company, government, and MSHA policies and/or regulations.
  • Conduct compliance inspections and support and oversee subcontractor safety programs.
  • Assure that all employees, visitors and contractors are properly trained on job hazards and safe work practices.
  • Conduct safety audits as needed and represent company to regulatory inspectors (OSHA).
  • Indentify and develop safety training programs and administer job safety analysis for all key construction activities.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping of safety compliance and employee training.
Skills & Experience
  • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of working knowledge of MSHA regulations and other state and federal safety standards.
  • Experience in directly supporting the safety and health initiatives of a multi-location organization a plus.
  • Experience with OSHA and heavy construction helpful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Requires an extremely motivated, self starter with a high level of organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment with customers, employees and contractors.
  • B.S. Degree preferably in Construction/Industrial Health and Safety or other related field.
  • MSHA 24 hour new miner training and Paramedic/EMT certification a plus.
